For many people in the greater Sacramento area, when they think of UCP they think of our donation pick up service. Through our program partner, UCP picks up donations of clothing, shoes, small electronics and many other household goods.  Almost everyone has received the familiar neon yellow post cards announcing the days that our trucks are in their neighborhood. Donations made through this program help sustain the area Thrift Stores that provide much needed “gently used” merchandise to the community.

Last year the donation pick up service and Thrift Stores generated more than $40,000 in revenue for United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Sacramento. As Sacramento and the surrounding communities continue to grow we expect that the donation pick up service will likewise grow. This growth means that Thrift Store revenue will continue to help UCP deliver programs and services that help empower people with disabilities to live life without limits.
